RULES
PB Rules

    - No repeat PBs apart from in the case of identical twins.
    - The PB CANNOT be the same as their canon PB. For example, Sarah Michelle Gellar cannot be used for Mary Jones/Buffy Summers. She can be used as Elizabeth Smith/John Sheppard.
    - We ask that the PB be appropriate for the character you're playing, in age, attitude and ethnicity.

Character Rules:

    - Ten Characters per player.
    - If you play more than one Agency member, they can't be in the same department.
    - Your character has to be older than thirteen, but they can be any gender and their age doesn’t depend on that of the fictional character they are the reincarnation of. For example, Hamlet can be a sixteen year old girl, if you wish it!
    - Please note that if your character is under 18 it is against the rules to have them involved in anything rated NC-17.
    - Characters have to be over 18 to be part of Camelot or CORE. Exceptions will be made in special circumstances when a character under 18 has something to offer.
    - Your Fictional Character can be from any medium.
    - If your Fictional Character has powers then your Original Character may develop those powers over time. There needs to be canon evidence of their powers and they can't develop any that they don't have in canon.
    - Members of The Agency must be fully adjusted to their Fictional Character counterpart and they must be completely neutral.
    - DO NOT make your original character a carbon copy of the fictional character they're a reincarnation of. Similarities are expected, but differences are encouraged! If you want to play the fandom character then there are plenty of panfandom games available.
    - You cannot play the fandom character as the primary personality for more than a month, and even then that's pushing it a bit.
    - Although we think in jokes with names can be funny, we just ask that you try to keep them subtle. Naming a Welsh reincarnate who likes coffee Ianto isn't really acceptable.
    - Please be logical about your characters accessing their reincarnate's talents and abilities. If you want your character to develop these skills then please show them developing as it won't happen instantaneously. If it's part of their backstory then it must be in their application at time of applying.

Activity:

    - You must be active with every character once every two weeks.
    - Activity is classed as; a post in the characters journal or activity in each of the IC communities. Comments in journals do not count as activity.
    - Inactivity checks are done once every two weeks on a Sunday, where the inactive characters are listed as well as the characters that are being removed for inactivity.
    - You will be warned once before a character is removed for inactivity.
    - If you persist in being inactive but still manage to stay in the game then you will be issued with a warning.
    - If you become inactive with any of your characters, you will not be able to apply for a new one for two weeks.

Hiatus's:

    - If you need to take a hiatus, then please comment to the hiatus post. We accept hiatus's of up to one month, but no longer.
    - If you post or comment while on hiatus then we will presume that you no longer need it and your hiatus will be removed.
    - If you need special circumstances surrounding a hiatus, for example you need to come back to comment on something specific, then you can arrange this directly with the mods.

Dropping Characters:

    - You may drop characters whenever you wish, but you must wait a week before applying for a new one.

Picking up Characters/Applications:

    - A movie must have been out for at least TWO weeks before holding or applying for a character. This is to give as many people as possible a chance to see it. As for TV characters, they must have been in the show for at least ONE season OR their arc must be completely finished.
    - You do not have to wait between picking up characters.
    - When applying for a character please be as detailed as possible.

Journals

    - The journals are set up by the Agency and everyone gets one set up for them on their first meeting with their Caretaker. You need to have been contacted by the Agency to have a journal.
    - The journals are on a closed system so they cannot be accessed by outsiders and anonymous comments cannot be left.
    - Entries posted in journals are viewable to everyone unless stated otherwise.
    - Strike outs cannot be read under any circumstances.
    - To private/filter part of an entry or comment then please use the following format:

    [Private to Recipient's Name Here]

    Text here.

    [/Private]

To private/filter an entire entry or comment please put [Filtered to Recipient's Name Here] in the subject header.

    - It should always be assumed, unless stated otherwise, that if a private is not addressed to your character (s)he cannot "break into" the other characters' journal.

    - Make sure to clarify the recipient(s) of a private addressed to certain characters. Saying something like "close friends" is too vague. Instead, list the names of those the private is addressed to. Established character groups (such as Camelot, CORE or a specific fandom group like Batfamily, Torchwood or Scoobies), however, are acceptable.

    - Do not delete comments if a conversation doesn't go your way.

Threads

    - Please use good spelling and punctuation, we understand that you may mess up from time to time and that’s okay. We’re not perfect and don’t expect perfection all the time. We presume that you’re a capable writer who knows how to use capital letters and full stops.

On that note, please use proper sentence format. No use of *actions* [tags] or any other form of showing actions other than writing it out.

    Examples of logging:
The Good: Jeff glared at the man across the table, his temper flaring at the man's tone. "Why are you such an ass?" he snapped.

the bad: *jeff glared* why are you such an ass?

    tHe UgLy: jeff: *glares* y r u such a ass?! >.<

    - All threads must go in [info]ourtrueselves.

    - Thread headings should be formatted as follows:

Who: [Which characters are involved in a scene]
Where: [Where abouts is it taking place? The game's global to try to give at least a little detail such as country and city.]
When: [A date and rough idea of the time such as morning or afternoon]
Rating: [G, PG-13, R or NC-17. All NC-17 material must be friends locked and cannot involve anyone under 18.]
Summary: [A rough description of what's going on.]

IC communication

    - The comm [info]ourtruecomms is used for all forms of communication outside of journal entries and threads.

    - When using it to send E-Mails please use the following format:
    To: Name [E-Mail Address]
    From: Name [E-Mail Address]
    Subject:

    - If using the community for something other than E-Mail then please specify what kind of communication it is eg. text messages, radio show, tv show or a phone conversation. As well as specifying who the communication is between, if it's applicable.

Plot

Plots should be created with the overall storyline in mind and the RPG should not be used solely for any one purpose (shipping, for example).

Major plots such as death, rape, and pregnancy, or anything that will effect a great number of characters should first be run by the mod.

Please remember that this is set within a subculture of a realistic environment. Pregnancies take nine months and the laws of a country apply to the characters so please give plots and characters the level of realism they deserve.

Basic Game play:

    - Respect Your Fellow Players.

They’re here to have fun just as much as you are so please be polite and courteous. If you have a problem with another player and don’t feel like you can deal with them yourself then tell a mod and we’ll attempt to mediate.

    - Godmodding and Metagmaing.

Godmodding is where you describe the outcome of an event without the other players permission, for example:

Player A: Character A throws a punch at Character B.
Player B: Character B dodges the attack, grabs Character A and throws him out of a stained glass window. Character A flies at Character B, who warps behind him and slashes Character A in the back.

This will not be tolerated. You control your characters and no one else’s, your character might throw a punch but the other player gets to decide if the character gets hit.

Do not make your character all powerful or perfect. Characters, like people, make mistakes according with what they know about a situation.

Metagaming is a little bit more complicated, examples of metagaming include (but are not limited to):

    - Adjusting a character's actions if the player has some foreknowledge of the long-term intentions of the mods.
    - Using certain types of attack or defense based on the strengths and weaknesses of a other characters the character knows nothing of, for example using someones fears against them if your character doesn't know what they are.
    - Using any OOC knowledge IC without permission.
    - Using IC private information that your character wouldn't know to jump to a conclusion.

Neither metagaming of godmodding is allowed to occur. If you are accused of doing so then it's your responsibility to prove that you haven't done so, either by showing where you got the information or that you were given permission to do so.

If you use private information IC then you need to get permission from both players. For example, if character A talks to character B in private, and then tells character C all about it. Player A needs to get permission from Player B before passing the information along to Player C's character.

    - OOC Drama.

If there’s an honest problem then please tell the mods about it, however please use common sense. Just because your characters do not get along, it doesn’t mean they hate you. Do not cause excessive drama.

    - OOC Intolerance.

Out of character homophobia, heterophobia, racism, sexism, hatred towards anyone's religion or lack thereof, political beliefs, musical tastes, or m&m preference are NOT permitted. There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy concerning them. ANYONE at ANY TIME will be removed immediately without question, argument, or even warning. End of story. Though this policy is strictly OOC only, if we find out you are being an intolerant asshole through your character, we will remove you.

    - Ages 18+.

This game is sometimes dark and will have some adult themes, as a result we’re limiting this game to the over eighteens.

Make sure that anything rated NC-17 or above is friendslocked.

    - Relationships, Sex, Violence, and Profanity.

This is a het/slash/femslash/incest friendly game, but try to be realistic. In a game like this we’re keeping it open as long as you keep it in character.

    - Ship Bashing.

It’s simple. Don’t do it. Just because you ship something, it doesn’t mean everyone does, so please keep any negative opinions to yourself.

    - Canon Puncturing.

All the media that these characters come from exists in this world. They may research themselves on wikipedia or read the book/watch the movie/TV show etc. As a result if someone finds out you’re Little Red Riding Hood or The Doctor then they might just talk to you about it.

    - Mods Have The Last Word.

Katy and Sheena are the mods, and what we say is final. We also have the right to change the rules at anytime.

They also mod using GMT time as that's Katy's timezone.
